The real-life Jeff Ashton retired from his job as Assistant State Attorney in Florida just days after the trial ended. Oscar Nunez stars as Anthony's star defense attorney Jose Baez. Following the trial, the real-life Baez has kept busy. He wrote a book about the trial and has jumped into the George Zimmerman trial, acting as an attorney for one of the first detectives to interview Zimmerman following the shooting.
