What is the difference between limeade and lemonade

Of course I know the word limonada. I am wondering whether there are words for the other drinks that I have mentioned above or are they just too American?! Also, in a textbook that I have, "limonada" is translated as limeade rather than lemonade.

Who would generally agree with this? Thanks, as always. I'm not sure if there is a rule about that. I agree with cabeceras, en Guatemala la limonada, hecha del lim'on, lime, es lo que tomamos. In that same country, there is, or used to be, a neighborhood comprised of make shift shanties called La Limonada.

A drink you make when all life gives you is lemons. And like nush says, naranjada is also common. But the similarity seems to end there.

Hello Snowgirl! I hope I can help you. In Spain we rarely drink lemonade, limeade or orangeade. We usually drink juice zumo de or soft drink refresco. A "refresco" can be fizzy like fanta, Kas, sprite, coke or not fizzy like aquarius, trina, sunny delight.

In Spain a fizzy drink is called refresco con gas or bebida con gas and a soft drink is called refresco sin gas o bebida sin gas which are the most similar word to limonada or naranjada. Additionally, simple syrup — a sugar and water mixture in which the sugar has already been dissolved in the hot water before cooling the mixture — is often supplied free of charge in bars and cafes. Some people use this popular alternative to sugar when sweetening chilled limeade, as it is already in liquid form and therefore will have no trouble dissolving in the beverage. Typically clear or slightly yellow in color, limeade may also be artificially colored green to match its namesake.

This fruit juice mixture is usually uncarbonated. In parts of the world outside of North America, however, a fizzy drink containing carbonation is called by the same — or a similar — name. People also often use the term limeade for brand name lime-flavored sodas. Both fruits have good nutritional qualities. But for those who balk at the idea of deep-fried goods, we also have oven-baked and air-fried versions. This makes it perfect for someone trying to shed some pounds! Those who are passionate about designing and decorating drinks cocktails and mocktails , should be well aware of the citric acid content in limes and lemons.

However, while both of these fruits are very good for overall health, lemons would likely win the nutritional battle! Lemons are usually bright yellow, while limes are typically a … Lemons and limes are similar in their nutritional makeup. As nouns the difference between lemonade and limeade is that lemonade is a still beverage consisting of lemon and sugar, sometimes ice, and water, used mainly as a refreshment while limeade is uncountable a citrus drink made from water, sugar, and the juice of limes.

The powerful health benefits of dates include providing an energy boost, increasing iron in the body, and aiding digestion. Lemons and limes are both very acidic but have slightly different flavors and scents. Consult a medical practitioner for health problems.
