When it comes to the real ciel, he had live normally in virtue and decency, also he loved his family and wanted to protect his twin even in a crucial state.
He never showed any dark side before and even after he died. In the Blue Cult arc, the true Ciel returned and the current Ciel and Sebastion were shocked to see him alive again. Although the servants have their doubts Sebastion eventually confirmed that the other Ciel was indeed the true Ciel and that the Ciel they have been following was his twin brother.
Ciel comes close to death and the only way to save him was turning him into a demon, so Sebastian does so. They proceed to tell everyone in connection with him he has died, and they flee off to somewhere not mentioned. It was a bit confusing in the anime itself, but I had time to peice it together. So for Ciel, his brother is the brightest star in the sky, guiding him to his goal of being a good and honorable Earl, because the purpose of helping his younger brother guides him to that goal.
He wanted his brother back so badly that he became his brother. Elizabeth and Ciel grew up together. This is true but in the Victorian era nobles would marry their own family because they thought If they married someone else it would dirty their blood if the had a child.
Ciel is marrying Elizabeth because this is what his father wanted. Table of Contents. We use cookies on our website to give you the most relevant experience by remembering your preferences and repeat visits. Do not sell my personal information. Cookie Settings Accept.

They then speculate how the murder occurred. Afterward, each person states his or her alibi, and Ciel fails to have one because he was in his bedroom alone.
Because the majority of the guests suspect Ciel as the murderer, they decide he must be watched by one of them. Arthur Conan Doyle is chosen to watch Ciel, and they are handcuffed together. Instead, Tanaka comes, taking on Sebastian's position as the head butler. He, and the other guests, find Sebastian's corpse.
Ciel, screaming wildly, commands for him to get up to no avail. The guests begin to discuss the grisly details of Sebastian's wounds. Finnian scolds them for doing so in front of Ciel. Sebastian is then moved to the basement with the other bodies. Ciel apologizes to his servants for losing his composure. He asks Tanaka to replace Sebastian temporarily as the head butler. Tanaka ushers Ciel to get a change of clothes and admonishes him, saying that he should not be shaken by something as "trivial" as the death of a servant, adding that Vincent Phantomhive had never once been agitated by these matters.
Ciel notes that Tanaka is as strict as ever. Later, Ciel and the other guests dine together. They then notice Patrick Phelps ' absence and go to Ciel's bedroom where he should be at.
There, they discover Patrick's corpse. Ciel rebukes Lau and Ran-Mao for searching his room, and he secretly suspects Lau because of the needle Lau had used outside Harold West Jeb 's estate some time ago. They figure out Patrick's time of death, and then gather together for dessert to discuss the chain of deaths. Ciel then points out the things that make Lau suspicious, but soon assures him that he knows fully well that Lau could not have killed all of the three victims even if he had teamed up with Sebastian.
When Arthur proves the impossibility of just one person committing the string of murders, an uproar occurs between the guests. Karl Woodley wants to leave, but Ciel does not let him, so he attempts to attribute the murders to Ciel's doing as the Queen 's Watchdog. Ciel orders Karl to sit down. Angered, Karl tries to punch him, but he is single-handedly suppressed by Tanaka. He then allows Arthur to be in charge of their actions from there on out.
They soon decide to search Sebastian's corpse for the key to Ciel's room. Ciel, Arthur, Finnian, Baldroy , and Charles head down to the basement. When they cannot find it, they go to Sebastian's bedroom. Ciel curiously opens up the closet, and a multitude of cats that Sebastian had hidden rush out, eliciting Ciel's allergic reaction.
Soon after, Ciel reveals that he does not know anything about Sebastian's past, just like the rest of them. They then decide to check everyone's luggage for the key, but they fail to find anything. The servants are determined to search outside, something Ciel cannot dissuade them from doing. Just then, the Phantomhive servants haul in the "thirteenth person," but Ciel quickly recognizes him as Jeremy Rathbone. Jeremy presents Sebastian's owl, and after reading the note attached to it, Ciel explains that Sebastian had anticipated that he would be killed and sent a letter to Jeremy.
After justifying his arrival, Jeremy takes over the investigation and asks for the corpses to be put in three separate rooms. After Jeremy's request is carried out, Jeremy examines the corpses individually. He asks that they wait until nightfall, as well as for Ciel's cooperation, to catch Patrick's killer.
When it is time to inspect Sebastian's body, Ciel staggers, claiming that seeing his butler's corpse so many times has a negative effect on him. Grey and Ran-Mao then team up to take down Patrick's killer under Jeremy's guidance. At Karl's bedroom, where Ciel dressed in his butler's coat to hide his body odor and the rest of the guests are waiting, Tanaka announces that they have successfully apprehended Patrick's killer.
Jeremy reveals it to be a snake. Arthur explains that Ran-Mao , who has Ciel's clothes and thus his scent, attracted the snake. They then conclude that the snake must have been smuggled by Karl, who has close connections with an African business. Jeremy says that Georg initially feigned his death, but was truly killed later; therefore, alibis are invalid. They then discover an important evidence in Karl's fireplace that clues into Georg's death. Ciel declares that Karl's motive is success in the diamond market, and that he must have wanted to dispose of Ciel first.
Grey then arrests Karl. Ciel and the rest of guests toast in celebration to the resolution to the case. The guests leave the next morning, but Arthur rushes back to the Phantomhive Manor, having figured out that Jeremy is actually Sebastian.
Ciel tells him that Karl was not the criminal in this case. Sebastian then explains to Arthur what really happened with the murders, and in the process, reveals that Grey was the one who killed him and Georg.
Arthur sums up the situation: Charles had tried to make Ciel out as the killer; Ciel and Sebastian made thorough preparations to clear any suspicion surrounding themselves, and even though they know that Grey is the killer, they made the innocent Karl into the culprit. Ciel explains that everything is the Queen's wish—her foremost objective was to get rid of Georg.
He further says that since he had not ideally followed the Queen's order in his previous case, she tried to pin a murder on him, which he sees as her having a good sense of humor.
He adds that he is good with games, however, and he used Karl, who sold illegal weapons, as his scapegoat. Ciel reinforces the idea that he is the Queen's Watchdog, and that this entire incident was nothing more than a game where the Queen reconfirmed whether or not he had the talent to maintain his position.
To the bewildered Arthur, Sebastian reveals that he is a demon and forces Arthur to never tell. Arthur promises him and runs away in a panic. Afterward, Ciel asks Sebastian why he revealed his true form. Sebastian tells him that the eccentric experience will motivate Arthur to write, recalling that Ciel is fond of Arthur's novel.
Sebastian then opts to start preparing for lunch. Ciel tells him to explain Patrick's murder. Sebastian reveals it was Snake , who he has captured. Snake is certain that Ciel has caused the first-string members of the Noah's Ark Circus to disappear, and therefore he wants to kill Ciel. Ciel then informs him that the first-string members were kidnappers of children.
He lies that the first-string members have made their whereabouts unknown after discovering Ciel's intention of investigating them.
He offers Snake a place at his manor and assures him that they would be looking for Joker and the others. Snake then accepts his offer. Later, Ciel warns Sebastian to keep silent about his lie and then asks him what he is planning to do with the Phantomhive servants. The bell in his grave rings suddenly. They dig up his coffin immediately and find, to their great relief, Sebastian alive. Sebastian tells Ciel that he is glad the rest of them were fooled. Tanaka then returns the badge of the Phantomhive head butler to Sebastian.
Sebastian then promises Ciel that he is completely devoted to his service. Sebastian Michaelis tells the household they will be adding another member to the staff. Snake will be working as a footman, and Sebastian asks them all to get along.
At breakfast, Ciel questions Sebastian about Snake's progress. Sebastian replies that it will take some time to train him. Ciel then reads in the newspaper how the Karnstein Hospital has found a way to bring people back to life. Lau arrives, and after their slight banter, he tells Ciel all the details. Later on, as Ciel watches Lau leave from the top window, he softly says that reviving the dead is extremely foolish. Next, Elizabeth Midford arrives [] and joyfully asks Ciel to join her and her family on April 17th for a three-week vacation on a luxury cruise liner, the Campania.
Ciel politely declines, and Elizabeth leaves disheartened. Ciel smiles gently as he watches her leave. Sebastian unexpectedly returns and teasingly asks Ciel what he's grinning about. After describing the hospital's illicit activities, Sebastian tells him the director, Rian Stoker , is part of an underground organization called the Aurora Society.
Their next meeting will be aboard a luxury cruise liner on April 19th. Stunned, Ciel immediately asks for its name; Sebastian replies the Campania. A few weeks later, Ciel boards the ship with Sebastian and Snake and leaves the other servants in charge of the manor. Ciel startles Elizabeth's parents and her brother Edward Midford by his unexpected appearance.
Nevertheless, Elizabeth is overjoyed that he decided to "surprise" them and come on the trip. Three days later at a party, an annoyed Ciel complains inwardly about the directionless and meaningless lives of the English aristocracy. Ciel instructs Sebastian not to let the "signal" out of his sight. Afterwards, Ciel consoles Snake who is feeling uncomfortable amidst the English gentry. Ciel states that Snake is another person; therefore, it is fine if he is different from the rest.
Furthermore, Snake should follow his lead and feel free to be whoever he wants. Suddenly Sebastian returns, and Ciel goes with him. He instructs Snake to "clean up"; they'll be following their suspect. Sebastian informs Ciel of the club's "fixed greeting"; he may have to perform it to prove he is a member. In the club room, Ciel and Sebastian encounter one of the members and do the "Phoenix Pose.
He laughs uproariously about " Earl Phantomhive 's pose. Meanwhile, Undertaker has disappeared; Viscount Druitt then excitedly tells Sebastian and Ciel to get ready because the meeting is starting. Ciel and Sebastian both watch Rian Stoker seemingly bring a woman back to life. They are shocked when they see her suddenly bite the man next to her.
Pandemonium and confusion follows as the corpse moves wildly. While Sebastian defends Ciel, he stabs her through the heart.
However, when she rises again, he states that she is a being he does not understand. Suddenly, Ronald Knox bursts in and uses his death scythe to smash her head. He tells Sebastian and Ciel that this is the only way to defeat it, and they should pay attention to the important stuff. Rian, however, immediately attacks Sebastian—he states that everyone will blame him for this situation if he lets a demon go free; that will lead to serious overtime.
Ciel proceeds through the ship and runs into Elizabeth, who states she was following him after he ran away from the dining hall. He tells her to go back since it is dangerous, and he cannot worry about her right now.
In the storage compartment below, Ciel is startled to discover Snake. Snake explains that he came here to share some cake with his snakes.
Elizabeth suddenly shows up again, explaining that she wanted Ciel to try the strawberry cake that he likes so much. Suddenly, a corpse roars right behind her, jolting all three of them. Ciel protectively grabs Elizabeth and shoots the corpse. He instructs Snake to protect Elizabeth; he will handle the corpse. Snake does not respond as he stares straight ahead. When Ciel yells at Snake to get his attention, Snake points straight ahead—he states Oscar says the compartment is full of corpses.
Ciel tells Elizabeth and Snake to run. Horrified, they all dash away as the corpses start coming towards them. After assisting Elizabeth, Snake offers his hand to "Smile" and pulls him up. On top of the luggage, they discuss the situation.
Furthermore, the corpses lack intelligence; otherwise, they would have headed upstairs for more "food. Some of the corpses then start crawling up the luggage. Ciel hugs a frightened Elizabeth, declaring that no matter what happens, he will protect her at least. He desperately wonders why Sebastian's "playtime" is taking so long.
Suddenly, the corpses fly through the air. Sebastian proceeds to dispatch the corpses in the fastest way possible—wildly and madly, he moves effortlessly through the compartment, destroying all the corpses. As Ciel watches him and observes the "splattering crimson," he thinks that Sebastian is like a "dancing demon. He thinks inwardly that "Ciel" is not here anymore—only Earl Phantomhive exists. Suddenly, Elizabeth interrupts his train of thought.
Finished, Sebastian holds out his bloodstained gloved hands to Ciel to help him down. Ciel angrily orders him not to touch him with his "filthy hands. As Ciel steps in the blood, he tells Sebastian he behaved just like a beast. Sebastian smiles and replies that it was an emergency.
Ciel tells him they need to find out why there is such a huge quantity on this ship. Sebastian unexpectedly throws his knives towards a frightened Rian and states they should interrogate him.
Ciel questions Rian; he then reveals that their troubles are not over—the front freight storage has ten times the amount of "living corpses. Ciel immediately orders Sebastian to get his aunt and the others to safety. He says they will catch up because they will slow him down anyway. After Sebastian leaves, Ciel turns his attention back to Rian—he instructs him to be brief because he is not patient and points his gun at Rian's head.
Rian informs him that he has a machine in his room that can shut the corpses down permanently. When he hesitates in cooperating further, Ciel tartly answers that he reckons Rian wants him to "pierce his ears. Ciel, Snake, Elizabeth, and Rian start moving towards his room. Once they enter the turbine engine room, Ciel instructs Snake to remove his snakes' hold on Rian, so they will appear as Rian's comrades.
One of the engineers suddenly calls out to them; they all do the Phoenix pose to prove that they are one party. Afterwards, a concerned Elizabeth asks a flustered Ciel if he is all right.
After they leave this area, they enter the second boiler room. Suddenly, a great shockwave reverberates throughout the entire room. Water starts pouring in, and the ship's workers yell at everyone to get escape before the watertight doors shut. Snake follows him, but Ciel turns back to help Elizabeth. The doors rapidly shut before they can get out. Ciel orders a desperate Snake to get to safety and then go after Rian. He adds that they will escape through the air duct above; furthermore, Snake has to get out because his snakes cannot survive in the cold water.
Agreeing with him, Snake throws Keats into the duct from his side and tells "Smile" that it will guide him and Elizabeth through the ducts. Ciel responds that they will definitely meet up later. Ciel then directs his attention to Elizabeth. He tells her to remove her dress because it is preventing her from moving easily through the water. With tears in her eyes, she states that she does not want Ciel to see her in such an "uncute" way.
He angrily grabs her dress and rips it, yelling that if she dies, she will never be able to wear the clothes she loves so much ever again—it is all over when she dies. Suddenly, Ciel starts coughing and tells Elizabeth to start climbing. When they reach the Campania' s 2nd Class restaurant, Ciel cannot get the air duct to open. He suddenly falls through it as it unexpectedly gives way; however, instead of feeling pain from the fall, he realizes he is in Sebastian's arms.
Sebastian assures him that they were unharmed when he left them. Sebastian offers Ciel his tailcoat, but Ciel refuses to wear it because it is too long. Sebastian is about to ask him about his cough, but Ciel silences him with one meaningful statement. Sebastian tells both of them they must hurry to the lifeboats. Suddenly Ronald Knox and Grelle Sutcliff burst through the roof. Guarding Ciel and Elizabeth, Sebastian replies that it is just a coincidence. Elizabeth asks about Grelle's identity; Sebastian answers that they are just a pervert and requests that she stay back because he is afraid that it may be contagious.
Ciel and Elizabeth watch their fight. However, Grelle's Death Scythe suddenly cuts through a porthole, and water rushes into the room. Elizabeth and Ciel are forcefully hit by the cold water and get washed away.
He tries to reach her himself, but his leg is caught. Screaming at her to get up, he keeps firing his gun at the corpses. Sebastian also is unable to go to her aid because he is fending off attacks from both Ronald and Grelle. Elizabeth slowly awakens as the corpse close in around her. Gazing sorrowfully at Ciel, she states she wanted him to think of her as cute until the end. Being unable to reach her, Sebastian and Ciel watch horrified as the corpses attack her.
Shocked, Ciel watches speechlessly as Elizabeth uses two swords to cut through the corpses attacking them. She stabs two corpses behind Ciel, and her tears fall onto Ciel's astounded face. She declares that this time she will protect him. Turning her back to Ciel, she faces the corpses, announcing that she is the daughter of the leader of the British knights and the wife of the Queen's Watchdog.
After cutting down all the corpses, Elizabeth directs her sword at Grelle, proclaiming that it is fine if she is not cute as long as she can protect Ciel. Sebastian, however, asks her to stop—bowing to her, he apologizes that he has failed as a butler because she had to go through so much trouble.
Jarred, Ciel watches everything, but then orders Sebastian to forget them and go after Rian Stoker. After consulting one another, Grelle and Ronald also depart. Ciel tells Sebastian they must hurry, but his leg is injured. Elizabeth immediately offers to carry him on her back. Surprised, Sebastian tells her that he can manage that. Awkwardly, Elizabeth asks Ciel if he will still accept her as his wife.
Ciel replies that he wants a strong wife now. Relieved, Elizabeth asks him if this means that he does not hate her. Ciel is about to answer negatively; however, exceedingly embarrassed after catching sight of Sebastian's laughing face, he stops and tells her they do not have time for this.
Snake rushes in and apologizes about Rian's escape. Ciel lets it pass and states they should meet up with his family. Ciel apologizes for being completely useless. He also asks Edward to let Snake take his place on the lifeboat because he has to go back. Alarmed, Elizabeth is about to insist that she will accompany him when Sebastian quickly knocks her out.
Ciel tells Edward he is leaving Snake and Elizabeth with him. As Ciel is being carried away by Sebastian, Edward calls out to him not to come back alive because he does not want to give his sister to him. Smiling proudly and confidently, Ciel promises that he will definitely return. Although he questions how they have recognized him, he soon realizes that they are members of the Aurora Society after they do the Phoenix pose. Sebastian and Ciel see that his men are carrying Rian's device —although Sebastian suggests killing him now, Ciel replies that they cannot since they do not know how the device works.
Sebastian then asks the Viscount if he is planning to activate the device now. Druitt replies that he cannot do that since the "cast" is incomplete. Rian suddenly rushes out—from atop the staircase, he accuses the Viscount of stealing the device. Grelle and Ronald also arrive; when they are about to attack, the Viscount threatens to pour wine over the device and destroy it. Ronald immediately restrains an infuriated Grelle. During this entire scene, Ciel and Sebastian silently watch.
Suddenly, countless corpses burst into the room, and Druitt refuses to stop them until they all address him as "Caesar. Rian immediately yells at the Viscount that he lied to him about inventing the device. From atop the staircase, Grelle instantly jumps down. Slashing their way through multiple corpses, they reach Aleister.
Just when they are about to kill him, Undertaker stops his attack. All four of them are astounded as Undertaker speaks—he says that losing such an amusing man would be like losing the entire world.
Sebastian protects Ciel as shattered glass falls everywhere. Jolted, Ciel concludes that Undertaker is the actual mastermind behind the Aurora Society. Undertaker then explains his entire plan. When he is showing the others the Cinematic Records , Ciel annoyed asks everyone what is happening since he is unable to see them. Ciel remarks disgustedly that Undertaker makes him sick.
Grelle suddenly declares that it is impossible to let Undertaker go after all the crimes he has committed. When Ronald and Grelle attack Undertaker, Sebastian unexpectedly intervenes.
Ciel announces that it is their duty to present this culprit and the truth to the Queen. Undertaker gleefully laughs as they all attack him together. Ciel watches them fight, destroying parts of the room in the process.
However, Undertaker suddenly gets the upper hand when he easily jumps to the top of the staircase and grabs Ciel. Holding a horrified Ciel, he softly tells him he can finally place the Earl in one of his specially made coffins. Alarmed, Sebastian rushes towards them, attacking Undertaker with his demon powers.
Undertaker suddenly throws Ciel off of the staircase, shocking Sebastian. As he reaches for Ciel's outstretched hand, their fingers barely touch before Undertaker impales Sebastian from behind-revealing his Cinematic Record.
Ciel screams Sebastian's name as Sebastian loses consciousness. Regaining consciousness, with blood flowing out of his mouth, Sebastian agonizingly roars—with all his strength, he clasps Ciel's outstretched hand.
Sebastian tightly holds onto Ciel as they both fall to the floor. Undertaker remarks that he knew Sebastian would protect the Earl no matter what. Ciel frantically tries to wake Sebastian, even noting Sebastian's blood on his hands. Sebastian slowly opens his eyes; he states Ciel is so loud—he can hear him perfectly.
Sebastian gets up, spitting blood, shocking Ciel. Undertaker comments that Sebastian's Record was interesting, but in the end, all he does is make Ciel miserable. Raising his Death Scythe, Undertaker announces that he has decided to make Sebastian disappear after all.
Suddenly, everyone feels a tremendous shudder resonate throughout the entire ship. As Sebastian barely holds onto a metal bar with Ciel tightly clasped in his other arm, Grelle appears. Ciel indignantly watches Grelle state that Sebastian can just sit there and watch—he will be taking Undertaker since they have no time left.
Looking at Sebastian, Ronald states that he will finish off the "weaker one. That joke is not even funny—it is impossible for his butler to be weakened or defeated by him. Ciel asks Sebastian if he is right, and Sebastian agrees wholeheartedly. Suddenly, Sebastian grimaces in pain from his previous injury, alerting Ciel. Looking at him, Ronald states that he does not want to "pick on the weak.
Sebastian informs a stunned Ronald Knox that he cannot defy his master's orders. Ciel tells an astounded Grelle that it is really old-fashioned for a Grim Reaper to rely solely on his death scythe.
He dodges them both, but Ciel catches the chain with Undertaker's mourning hair lockets. Ciel cries out at him to wait, but Undertaker assures him that they will meet again as he uses his Death Scythe to split the ship in two. Sebastian immediately puts Ciel in a life preserver, surprising Ciel. Before he can protest, Sebastian asks for his forgiveness, but they have no time—he unexpectedly hurls Ciel into the water. Ciel cannot bear the freezing cold water; unable to stay alert, he sinks into the water.
When Sebastian grabs his collar and puts him into to the lifeboat. He also offers Ciel his overcoat so he can try and stay warm. A shivering Ciel and Sebastian both see people drowning a little ahead of them; Sebastian states they should move their boat further away otherwise they will be swamped. As he is reaching out his hand to Ciel to shake him awake, a Bizarre Doll bites Sebastian's leg, jolting both of them.
After killing it, Sebastian quickly places his hand over Ciel's mouth, silencing him. Sebastian softly comments that the sea is full of Bizarre Dolls—Ciel is the only survivor left in the water. As the dolls swim towards them, Ciel urgently tells Sebastian to get in. Sebastian does, and then, starts destroying the dolls. Ciel realizes that he cannot escape because he may endanger the survivors in the other lifeboats.
He asks Sebastian if he can defeat them all. Sebastian smiles and says that Ciel does not need to ask—he just needs to order him. Ciel loudly issues his order to eradicate the Bizarre Dolls. After he is done, a blood-covered Sebastian stands wordlessly in the boat. Sitting on the boat's floor, Ciel gasps in awe and asks if it is over. Sebastian suddenly falls to the floor in pain.
Placing his hand over his deep wounds, he states sorrowfully that even a Death Scythe's attacks are hard on him. Sebastian comments that he believes that Undertaker did not want to harm Ciel; nonetheless, he hopes they never meet again.
Looking at Sebastian, Ciel remarks that he has never seen him like this. Sebastian apologizes, stating he knows he has failed as a Phantomhive butler. They are both silent as a rescue ship approaches. Ciel then says he cannot let Sebastian stay like this—when they get back, Sebastian must have a thorough rest because he did well today. Shocked by his words, Sebastian asks him to refrain from saying such things because he does not want to see a storm after this.
Several days later, Ciel has completely recuperated; he also discovers that Elizabeth is currently in the manor and intends to celebrate Easter together with him, Sebastian, Baldroy , Mey-Rin , Finnian , Snake , Edward, Soma and Agni. Elizabeth excitedly suggests that they should start the egg hunt immediately with the special Easter eggs her father made. She eagerly shows off one particular egg to Ciel, asking him whether the flower pattern is nostalgic.
Unsure of how to respond, Ciel hastily agrees and turns, stating that he will inform the servants to conceal the eggs. Elizabeth is left dumbfounded at this response. However, she quickly recovers and announces she thought of a great idea; whoever is able to find the egg that she specially made will become the winner of the competition. She hugs him tightly, claiming he always finds her Easter egg first, and therefore must ensure that he comes first this year too, to which he uneasily promises her he will.
Edward interrupts and declares in frustration that he will not let Ciel have his sister's Easter egg.
Ciel attempts to protest when Charles Grey suddenly crashes through one of the windows. Afterward, Charles Phipps appears at the window and gives his greetings to Ciel. Astonished, the latter inquires as to why Queen Victoria 's butlers are here; Phipps replies they are here to deliver something from Her Majesty and hands over a basket of intricately decorated eggs.
As Elizabeth praises the handicraft, Grey announces that he would like to join the competition, too. For the Easter egg hunt, Sebastian arranges everyone into pairs; Ciel forms a pair with him. Elizabeth then officially starts the competition. Baldroy remarks that he had forgotten he hid some specially made eggs there, to which Sebastian is puzzled as to why he would do such a thing. This disqualifies the duo; Sebastian and Ciel continue to seek hidden Easter eggs. Ciel is ambushed by Soma and Agni, who attempt to snatch away his egg.
The former feigns an asthma attack, which worries everyone greatly. However, when Soma rushes up to him, Ciel takes advantage of his lowered defences and breaks his egg. Ciel mocks Soma for falling for a trick like that and smugly asserts that he will take any measure to win.
Soma and Agni are thus disqualified; nonetheless, they do not hesitate to spring upon Ciel, crying in relief that he is not ill. They wish Ciel and Sebastian luck for the remainder of the competition. They venture into another room, with Ciel musing that Elizabeth would not have placed her egg in a challenging place.
He is shocked to see the egg perched on a chandelier and wonders how she managed to get it up there. He orders Sebastian to steady a stepladder for him, whilst he endeavors to retrieve the egg. They are suddenly attacked by Grey, who is warded off by Sebastian. Ciel manages to catch the falling egg in the commotion and hangs on tightly to the chandelier. He is dangerously close to letting go of the chandelier and Grey nearly breaks their raw egg when, out of the blue, Grey and Phipps' egg hatches, revealing a baby chick.
It turns out their egg was fertilized and had been mixed in with the other eggs. This disqualifies the two, leaving Ciel and Sebastian the victor of the competition. After the competition is over, everyone regroups outside for some snacks and Ciel presents Elizabeth's egg to her.
Elizabeth is overjoyed that he got it first, after all, and wishes that this Easter egg may bring him happiness. He thanks her for the gesture. Queen Victoria informs Ciel that students at Weston College have been refusing to return home and asks him to investigate.
Because Weston is a school for the nobility, Ciel decides it would be best to infiltrate it himself. He orders Sebastian to figure out his own way in. To open up a spot in the school, they do something to a student named Colett to make him no longer able to attend.
On his first day, Ciel is almost late, but he manages to slip inside the gate before it is closed. He notes that first impressions are important and that he must be careful. But he then steps on the lawn, a disrespectful action, which instantly catches everyone's attention.
The P4 arrive, and Edgar Redmond sees Ciel standing on the grass. He storms over and Ciel thinks he is going to hit him. But instead, he grabs Ciel tie which was crooked and straightens it. Ciel introduces himself to them. Lawrence Bluewer informs him about the rule which is to stay off the lawn , and Edgar cheerfully tells him to be more careful from then on.
He introduces himself as another first-year student in Blue House. Ciel asks him what a "Y" is and McMillan explains to him how the penalties Y's work and about the prefects.
The bell begins to ring, and the two hurry off to class. In class, Ciel and McMillan are discussing how he got in when Clayton arrives and makes everyone line up.
Because he is last, Ciel has to polish the prefects' shoes. When he's done, he goes to his welcoming party, which consists of Clayton shoving him onto a sheet which the other boys use to launch Ciel into the air. Before they can do it twice, the dorm supervisor walks in and stops it. The dorm supervisor then introduces himself as Professor Michaelis.
